On January 31st 2023 Donna announced her retirement from the garage door industry. Donna was the current owner of Stouffville Garage Doors and had been servicing the Stouffville community since 1988. Stouffville Garage Doors was founded in 1988 by Simon Jones and it was built on family values and integrity. It was our pleasure to be offered the opportunity to purchase the company from Donna. Donna will be missed in our industry, and as she enjoys retirement, Chris Dale and Kevin Chappel are excited to be the proud new owners of such a well-respected local company.
Having grown up in Stouffville, in 2003 Chris and Kevin purchased shares of Stouffville garage doors and worked at building the company’s brand and sales up until 2008 when they decided to launch their first independent venture “Markham Garage Doors Ltd” In 2008. Well, life has a way of circling back around, and Chris and Kevin were presented the opportunity to purchase the entire company in 2023. The rest of the story is yet to be written, but one thing is for sure Chris and Kevin along with the Stouffville team will guarantee that the level of service and workmanship will only continue to grow as the company transitions under its new ownership.
Chris and Kevin have 5 independent Garage Door Companies servicing from New Castle to Hamilton, from the Toronto waterfront all the way up to cottage county. The acquisition of Stouffville Garage Doors Ltd. provides us the ability to efficiently service the residence of Stouffville, Gormley, Ballentrae, Claremont, Uxbridge, Zephyr, Mount Albert, Aurora, Sunderland and surrounding communities as the company has since 1988.
Greg Crockford has taken on the role of sales and is excited to lead the company in a direction that will certainly get the attention of loyal customers as well as appeal to the new residents of our community. Greg also grew up in Stouffville and has many years of garage door experience having worked with Chris and Kevin for nearly twenty years.
